A great way to get involved with Bridge House / Grace House is to volunteer at one of our events. We need volunteers to help serve food to the homeless three times a year:
Volunteers may sign up in two different shifts 10AM-12Noon or 12noon-2PM. We serve dinner and distribute toiletries and toys from the 1160 Camp Street location. If you’re interested in helping with any of these dinners, you may contact Anne Springer at (504) 821-7134.
Bridge House / Grace House also hosts a number of fundraising events throughout the year. We need volunteers at these events in various capacities including: taking tickets at the door, bussing tables, selling raffle tickets and t-shirts, assisting with our auctions, and serving food to guests. If you are interested in volunteering at one of these events, you may contact Wayne Olivio at (504) 821-7135.
Community Service
Many people choose to complete community service hours (both for school and court systems) at Bridge House / Grace House. We offer a range of duties that enhance understanding of our programs and support our mission including: working as support staff in one of our Thrift Stores, assisting in our Warehouse, and helping send out fundraising mailings.
