Tywana
First, I’d like to say this is my first time in treatment. As addicts we expect the worst, fear the unknown, and we are afraid of change. I’m so thankful for my Higher Power, which I chose to call God. He gave me that moment of clarity to walk in the doors of Grace House. From the moment I walked into Grace House, I was welcomed with love and acceptance, which allowed me to love and accept me for the person I always thought I was. I am learning how to be a daughter, sister, mother and a friend. I am also learning to be a responsible and functioning member of my community. I am grateful for the staff, counselors, and my peers at Grace House. I would like to say thank you to everyone for the unique gifts each of you bring into my life and for being here during my recovery. I respect and love you all.
Grateful Recovering Addict, Tywana L.
